Receipt-level financial memory

Your bank says $86.40. Your receipt says a lot more.

KeepWiser reads every line of every receipt — each product, price, store and date — and builds a price history out of purchases you actually made. Not a category. Not an estimate. The item.

No card required on the free plan. Paid plan is $18.99/month with a 14-day trial.

Bank feeds stop at the merchant. Receipts don't.

A card transaction tells you money left your account. It cannot tell you what you bought, what it cost per unit, whether the size changed, or what the same product cost you in March.

What you get once your receipts are structured

A price history you own

For any product KeepWiser matched confidently, see the lowest price you paid, the most recent price you paid, and how the two differ at the same store.

Per-item observations

Recurring charges, surfaced

Repeat merchants will be grouped into detected subscriptions with an average amount, a cadence, and an estimated next charge date — yours to confirm or dismiss.

Corrections that stick

Fix a mis-read line or reassign a product and KeepWiser reprocesses the receipt, updates the affected history, and keeps the audit trail.

Exports your accountant accepts

Financial overview and project accounting as CSV or PDF, price history and subscriptions as CSV, the full receipt archive as a ZIP of original scans.

An archive that holds up

Original images are kept alongside the parsed data, so a receipt is still usable for a return, a warranty claim, or a tax question years later.

Original scans retained

How it works

Photograph the receipt. Everything after that is the pipeline's job.

1

Upload

Snap a photo or drop a PDF. Files are virus-scanned and pre-processed before anything else touches them.

2

Read

OCR extracts text with word-level positions and confidence scores. Store layout is detected so lines are read the way that retailer prints them.

3

Structure

Lines become products with quantities, unit prices and categories. Totals are validated against the sum, and duplicate uploads are caught.

4

Remember

Confidently matched products record a dated price observation, so the next receipt has something to be compared against.

Anything the parser is unsure about is flagged for review rather than guessed at. You confirm it once, and the correction is applied everywhere it matters.

What KeepWiser will not tell you

We removed a set of features because the data behind them was not good enough to justify the claim. They are worth naming, because most tools in this category still ship them.

No invented savings figures

No “you could be saving $47 a month.” Those numbers are typically a guessed percentage of a gap between non-comparable products. We don't publish one.

No “shop here instead”

Comparing your basket at one store against a different basket at another is not a like-for-like comparison, so we don't claim one store beats another.

No live prices

Every price shown is one you paid, with the date attached. KeepWiser never implies a price is what something costs today.

No predictions

A change between two observations is reported as exactly that — a change between two observations, at one merchant, on known dates.

Receipts are unusually personal data

They record what you eat, what you take, where you were and when. We treat them accordingly.

Encrypted at rest

Scans and parsed data are stored encrypted, with access scoped to your account.

Your history stays yours

Price observations are scoped per user. Your purchase data is never pooled into another account's insights.

Export everything

A single archive export gives you your receipts and structured data in open formats, whenever you want it.

Deletion means deletion

Close the account and the receipts and derived history go with it.

Questions people actually ask

Does it connect to my bank?

No. KeepWiser works from receipts, which is the only source that contains individual products. It is a different picture from a bank feed, not a replacement for one.

What if the scan is misread?

Low-confidence lines are flagged for review instead of being silently accepted. You correct them once and the receipt is reprocessed.

How long until price history is useful?

It needs repeat purchases of the same product. Weekly groceries usually give you something to look at within a month or two; occasional receipts take longer. Until then, it says so rather than filling the gap.

Crumpled, faded or foreign receipts?

Often fine, sometimes not. Anything unreadable is marked for review rather than guessed. Test it on the free plan before paying.

Can I use it for business expenses?

Yes. Assign receipts to projects and export project accounting as CSV or PDF. Original scans stay attached for anything that needs backing up later.

What happens to my data if I leave?

Export it first — full archive, open formats — then delete the account. There is no lock-in on the way out.
